During the vegetable test, Clobber was the best drain cleaning agent. In the case of bacon grease Drano and Liquid Plumr, Clobber, and Hydrochloric Acid were equally powerful. None of these substances could dissolve tapes or paper towels. It could mean you will need to remove the blockage physically. Surprisingly, these same chemicals can dissolve steel corrosion pretty well. Lye, Drain Sticks, and Roebic were among the top at this. The test revealed that bathroom clogs can be resolved with Drano or Liquid Plumr.
